This was the question that our studio faced a few years ago. We were fortunate enough to find Collages.net at a time when we no longer had enough hours in the day to manage our studio by ourselves. We could either hire an additional employee or try a partnership with Collages.net to assist with online proofing and order fulfillment. As hard as it was to entrust that part of the business to someone else, it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
We started off only using Collages.net for online proofing and ordering for convenience. We no longer had to double and triple check file numbers, names, and addresses and then run to the printer and post office for simple reprint orders. Once Collages.net was integrated as part of our workflow process, we were given back countless hours that we were able to redirect into more productive directions like marketing, networking, and expanding our client services. The event sites also allowed us to reach a much larger audience. Reaching a larger client base is invaluable to our studio since many of our clients and their families are spread throughout the country.
Another step in streamlining our workflow was finding a vendor that provided multiple key, quality products that we wanted to offer our clients. Since we now offer our clients albums, guest books, and proof books from Collages.net, we have fewer vendors to deal with and much less paperwork to manage.
Now that we have such a reliable vendor, we can spend less time keeping track of orders and more time building relationships with our clients, growing our creativity, and participating in photo conventions and workshops.
