My Wedding Season Resolutions
At Collages.net, we have the privilege of speaking to hundreds of wedding photographers every week. From these great conversations, we have compiled a list of resolutions designed to help our wedding photographers enjoy and profit from 2008's wedding season.

Read through the countdown to discover how you can make this time of year one of the smoothest and most profitable seasons for your studio.

12. Get personal. In addition to posting a blog entry after every shoot, get personal with your blog, letting your clients and prospects get to know you. Posting images of your latest wedding or portrait session within a few days of the actual event is a great way to keep the excitement of the day going.

11. Make a playlist. Show your clients how they can create playlists on their upgraded Premium Websites.

10. Let myself learn. Spend a little time each month browsing through industry magazines and other resources. You’ll be amazed at all you learn – from marketing tips to business building ideas to new styles and techniques. Have you checked out www.collages.net/buildyourbrand

9. Start a chat. Use collagesChat to have a Collages.net Consultant answer a question, use our all-new picture chat to comment on your favorite images of your clients, or start a chat with local venues where you’d love to shoot more events.

8. Reward myself. Take advantage of Collages.net’s Rewards Program. Being a Rewards Member earns you money back every month and upgraded websites.

7. Keep something old but also try something new. Don’t be afraid to try something new – a new style you’ve always wanted to try, a more efficient routine, a new product that you think your customers will love.

6. Let go. Find a portion of your business that you can outsource to a company that you trust. Giving away some of your control can be a good thing.

5. Think outside of the box. Use products in ways you haven’t used them before to increase your studio sales. For example, use albums to create wedding guest books with your couple’s engagement photos.

4. Remember to relax. Take at least one day off during the season to rejuvenate and relax. You deserve it!

3. Be thankful. Let your clients know that you appreciate their business by sending thank you cards after every transaction. By sending your clients one of our High-End Cards as a thank you, not only will your customers appreciate the note, but they’ll know where to go for their own cards.

2. Add some color. Show off your product possibilities. Instead of having just that black leather album as your studio sample, order an album in orange or lime green, too. Chances are your clients will order a black one – but that brightly colored album will capture their attention, and they’ll know that their possibilities are endless.

1. Challenge myself. Even if you shot a wedding at the same venue several times, don’t lose your creativity and your passion. Challenge yourself to find more, broaden your imagination, be daring.
