Collages.net to post images from Inaugural Ball

Langhorne, PA January 3, 2005 – More than 10,000 Images from the Texas Society’s Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball, celebrating the inauguration of George W. Bush, will be posted on Collages.net following the event at www.blacktieboots.com. When the Texas State Society of Washington, D.C. shifts into high gear later this month on January 19th, 23 acres of prime real estate in the nation's capital — the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel — will be transformed into a Texas ex-pat paradise. The society will take over almost every square inch of public space in the vast hotel and grounds and wrap the environs in Lone Star sensibilities.

This event will mark the 100th anniversary of the Texas State Society in D.C., a fact that adds import to the Black Tie & Boots inaugural ball taking place that night. More than 12,000 guests will enjoy photo ops atop a live bull and joy rides aboard a Lockheed Martin flight simulator. Entertainment acts include singers Cliburn and Lovett, and The Kilgore Rangerettes who will strut their stuff and add to the festivities. Members of the University of Texas Show Band will perform, as will mariachis from Brownsville. Even the Fort Worth Zoo will get into the act, shipping in a truckload of animals. In all, six semi trailers loaded with props and equipment from Texas will roll in to the hotel.
