How do I purchase album or book design?
Design can be purchased by contacting Collages.net Customer Service at www.collages.net/chat or customerservice@collages.net. A representative will send image FTP information as well as a design questionnaire.

How long does design take?
Design takes up to ten business days after the images are received. Color correction adds two business days to turnaround time. Turnaround times are dependent on the number of images sent, spreads requested, and the complexity of the album or book design.

Can my designs be color corrected?
Yes, color correction can be added to any album or book design order.

What are the file requirements for sending images for album or book design?
When sending your images for design, please ensure that your images are rotated properly and are saved at or near 300 dpi. Images must be saved as JPEGs and should be placed in one folder and named alphanumerically in the order that you would like them to appear in the design (ex. 0001, 0002, 0003, etc.). Pricing is based per image, so be sure to only send the images that you want to appear in the design.

How many images should I send to be designed?
Collages.net recommends that you send no more than three or four images for each spread ordered. The number of spreads is requested in the design order form.

Does Collages.net design albums and books in pages or spreads?
Collages.net Albums are created using panoramic spreads, not single pages. We will send the designs to you as full panoramic spreads, rather than single sides or single pages. Collages.net Books are ordered in pages. However, to show the flow of the design, we will proof the design in a spread format. This will allow you and your client to see exactly how the layout of the final product will appear.

Can I review the design before it is printed?
Yes. Upon completion of the album or book design, Collages.net will send the completed design in the form of an online Premium Website to you. You can use the PictureChat™ feature on the Premium Website as a communication tool with your client.

Can I make revisions to the design?
After you have reviewed the design, up to ten changes all given at the same time can be made to the design at no charge. After these initial changes are made a $99 change fee will be charged for additional revisions.

You and your customer can use PictureChat™ to request revisions on individual spreads. Once you log in to the Premium Website, click on the Webshow category to view each spread. You and your client can request revisions on any spread by clicking on the PictureChat button below the image of the spread and adding your request. Once you have completed your revisions, contact the Collages.net Design Team for completion.

What style does Collages.net use when designing album or book spreads?
Collages.net offers three distinctive design styles that cater to every taste and occasion. See the sample designs link to view the different styles.

Can I specify background colors for the spreads?
Yes. Depending on the style you choose, you are given the option to choose from black background only, white background only, a mixture of black and white as the background, a specific color from the images as the background, or the designer’s choice.

Can frames be added to the images?
Yes, you can request the option of adding square frames to your images.

Can text be added to the design?
Yes, you can specify any text you would like to be used in the design and where you would like it to be placed. Please be sure that the text is spelled correctly, as the designer will copy the text directly from your form.

Are there any other design elements that can be added to enhance the design?
Yes. If you choose Style 3, strokes, shapes, flourishes, and other elements of the designer’s choice can be added to the design.

Can I use Collages.net Design to purchase an album or book from another vendor?
No. Collages.net Design can only be used for Collages.net products, including photographic albums as well as full bleed page press printed books.

Will Collages.net Designers crop my images?
You will be able to specify if you are willing to have your images cropped when filling out the order form. If you are willing to have your images cropped, the designer will crop the images as necessary for the design. Otherwise, your images will not be cropped.
