High-End Cards - FAQs
What materials are used to make your high-end cards?
All images are professionally printed on photographic paper and mounted on the highest quality fine art papers. All cards come in a variety of colors, textures, and styles.
What is included in the price of my high-end cards?
All orders consist of cards with corresponding envelopes, verses (including custom, non-holiday verses), name imprinting, mounted photos, and FedEx Ground® shipping.
What is the difference between A, B, and C high-end cards?
While all cards and corresponding photos are produced at the highest quality standards, A and B cards typically use more paper, include ribbon for tying, and/or have more elaborate design schemes.
Can I order a sample card album to display in my studio?
Yes, we offer studio sample card albums, which feature more than 80 of our finest cards elegantly arranged in a black portfolio. FedEx Ground® shipping is included in the price.
What options are available for sample card albums?
We offer four different levels of sample card albums to cater to your specific workflow needs. FedEx Ground® shipping is included in the price of each album.

Level 1: Your images – we do the work. Send us 150 JPEGs, and we will artfully choose, match, and mount your images on each individual card and ship your finished, custom-made sample album to you.

Level 2: Our images – a beautifully pre-made album. This portfolio is the sample card album that we compiled, with each card featuring an image taken by a Collages.net photographer.

Level 3: Your images – you do the deciding. We first send you the card album without the images, and you choose images for each card. Then once you have made your choices, you send us a CD of your high-resolution images.

Level 4: No images – just cards. This album is sent as a blank album, a portfolio of cards without images.
Are the cards delivered to my studio with the image already mounted?
Yes. All of the images are hand-glued to the cards before they are shipped.
What is the minimum number of cards I can order at one time?
The minimum order and reorder is 25 cards.
What is a card verse?
A card verse is the greeting text that appears either inside or on the front of the card, depending on the card type. We offer a selection of over 60 holiday verses, as well as the option to create custom verses.
What is the difference between a custom holiday verse and a custom non-holiday verse?
Custom holiday verses are customized verses pertaining to the Christmas or Hanukkah season. All other verses are classified as non-holiday verses, even those that deal with other “holidays,” including Easter, Valentine’s Day, etc.
Can I write my own card verses?
Yes. You may write your own card verse; however, if it is a holiday verse, there is an additional charge.
Am I able to see a digital file of my card before it is produced?
Photographers are sent a digital file of the verse to approve if they place an order with a custom verse or an order for 200 or more cards. Collages.net does not continue with card production until this file is approved.

The custom verse part of the approval process does not apply to anything other than the information that is filled in the custom verse field. For example, this does not apply to the baby information text fields.

If your order does not fit into the criterion above, and you would like to see a digital file first, please indicate this request in the special notes field.
What types of imprinting options do you offer?
We offer six different typestyles: Jester, Bellevue, Calligraphic 421 BT, Bickely Script, Amphion, and Copperplate.
What is name imprinting?
Name imprinting is the text that appears at the end of a card as a closing, for example, “Love, The Schmidt Family.”
What is envelope imprinting?
Envelope imprinting is the return address printed in the center of the back flap of the envelope. This is done in the same typestyle and ink color as on the card.
Can I have my studio logo imprinted on cards?
Studio logos can be imprinted on the backs of all cards, with the exception of our vellum cards and our ridge-backed cards, for an additional charge.
Why is extra postage required for some of the envelopes?
A few types of cards, including square cards, require extra postage based on their shape.
How do you ship your cards?
We ship all card orders FedEx Ground®. The shipping cost is included in the price of the cards.
Can I have the cards shipped directly to my customer?
Yes. We will ship your cards to whichever address you supply when ordering.
What is the turnaround time for a typical card order?
Turnaround time for our high-end cards is between five to seven business days. This time does not include shipping. This estimate excludes the period from Thanksgiving until the end of the second week of December, at which time it is seven to 10 business days.
Can cards be changed for colors, styles, papers, etc.?
No. Cards cannot be changed for colors, styles, papers, etc. The entire catalog, however, contains several choices for each card in terms of colors.
What types of events can these cards be used for?

Our high-end cards are perfect for just about any occasion, including holidays, baby announcements, wedding invitations, greeting cards, graduations, baby and bridal showers, thank you notes, and birthdays.
